I offer personalised, one-to-one online A Level Physics tuition for students in Dubai and the wider UAE. My role is not simply to provide more teaching. It is to understand the individual student, identify what is holding them back and give them the specialist support that will make the greatest difference.

I specialise in helping students make sense of A Level Physics through carefully tailored, one-to-one tuition.

Expertise matters, but so does the relationship between tutor and student. I listen. I get to know how each student thinks and where their confidence lies. I adapt my explanations and the pace of our work accordingly. That rapport helps students feel comfortable asking questions and admitting when something does not yet make sense.

My examiner experience adds another dimension. Students need to understand the physics, but they also need to recognise what a question is asking, select the right ideas and communicate their reasoning in a way that earns marks. The aim is not to encourage students to memorise model answers. It is to help them become better physicists at A Level: clearer in their thinking, more confident when faced with unfamiliar problems and more effective at demonstrating what they know.

Supporting students in Dubai’s international school environment

Dubai’s British and international schools bring together students with a wide range of educational backgrounds. Some have followed a UK curriculum throughout their schooling. Others may have moved between countries, schools or examination systems before beginning their A Levels.

This can matter in physics. A student may be doing well overall while still having small gaps in earlier mathematical techniques or physical ideas. These gaps are not always obvious until more demanding A Level topics begin to build upon them.

One-to-one tuition gives us the time to identify those individual needs and deal with them directly. We can revisit earlier ideas when necessary without losing sight of the student’s current school course, forthcoming assessments and longer-term goals.

Dubai students can also have demanding academic and co-curricular schedules. Online tuition avoids additional travelling time and allows lessons to fit more naturally around school commitments. The time difference between Dubai and the UK also makes after-school and evening tuition in the UAE practical within my UK working day.

How my A Level Physics tuition works in Dubai

Free introductory meeting
We begin with an online meeting to discuss the student’s current level, goals and any areas of concern. It is also an opportunity for student and parent to meet me before deciding whether to arrange regular lessons. There is no charge and no commitment.
Personalised tutorials
Tuition is built around the individual student and their particular A Level specification. We can concentrate on difficult concepts, problem-solving, mathematical skills, examination technique or whatever will be most useful at that stage of the course.
Weekly one-to-one lessons
Lessons are delivered online using Zoom, Teams or Google Meet. Shared screens and a virtual whiteboard allow us to work together on explanations, diagrams, calculations and examination questions in real time.
Ongoing feedback and support
I maintain a shared record of our tutorials. Students and parents can see what we have covered, the progress being made and the priorities for future work.
