About me

Paul Cartwright - Physics Tutor

I qualified as a teacher in 1997 and taught for several years at two successful Oxfordshire secondary schools; I have more than a decade of experience as a successful and sought-after private tutor in Oxford, and have helped to lead the way in the development and delivery of high quality physics tuition online. I am also an active A level physics Examiner with one of the major exam boards.

I have degrees and postgraduate qualifications in Physics and in Science Education, from the Universities of Durham and Oxford (my theses are listed in the Oxford University library catalogue here).

I am a full Member of the Institute of Physics, a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, and have many years of successful professional practice in education.

I lived and worked in Oxfordshire for some 19 years, from 1996 until 2015, when I returned to my home county of Suffolk. I am married with two young children, both of whom keep me busy enough when I'm not tutoring! However, when I do get a bit of spare time I like a game of chess, playing badminton, and being busy out and about in the garden.

I would highly recommend Paul as a tutor. The online system he uses is exactly the same as face to face, my son loved it, it's completely interactive. He is clear with his explanations and goes back to basics. 10/10.
